As LAKAT continues to grow, we’ve come to an important realization — sustainability has to include the people behind the work.

From the beginning, we set out to create footwear that reflects thoughtful design, responsible sourcing, and a deeper connection to craft. But building a brand in this way also means being honest about what it truly takes to sustain it.

Over time, we recognized that our previous pricing did not fully support the long-term viability of our work — from developing each pair to managing the day-to-day operations behind the brand.

This update allows us to move forward more responsibly — ensuring that LAKAT can continue to create with intention, support our artisan partners, and remain committed to the values we started with.

Starting May 15, 2026, our LAKAT Low Cut Classic is priced at PHP 4,670.

This is not a change in direction, but a step towards building something that can endure.
